What's New Blog:
3/20/2012.....New floral series is coming along amazingly well. Beautiful monumental glass flowers will soon grace the pages of brianschader.com. I imagine many of you are thinking immediately of Dale Chihuly's wonderfully vibrant floral works...well, Brian has chosen to work strictly in clear glass with an emphasis on the dramatic effects of shadows and light. No other artist (that we know of) has produced monumental flowers in this fashion. So Brian is very excited to forge a new path with these very dramatic and beautiful monumental masterpieces!........check back for their unveiling!

1/6/2012.....Happy New Year! Many new and exciting works are on paper and a few have been started. Watch out! the new year is beginning with a heightened sense of creativity that I'm riding full steam ahead. May this year bring nothing but good health, joy and prosperity to you and yours.   -Brian

12/17/11.....Happy Holidays. May this time of year bring sincere happiness to your heart, joy to your soul and contentment to your everyday life. Remember, the holidays are a time of giving. Give your love, time, smiles and help to the ones you love, as well as to strangers.

11/11/11.....With all of the Galleries well stocked with new sculptures, we've been building an "Ark".....a remodeling of one of our trailers to better serve the delivery and installation process. It's amazing how easily thousands of pounds of steel can move around in transit, so we're addressing these issues with the new design. (kind of boring huh.....I just wanted to post something on 11/11/11....:)

Happy Veteran's Day!....May God bless all of those who selflessly serve all of us, past present and future.

9/21/2011....... "In the order of nature we cannot render benefits to those from whom we receive them, or only seldom. But the benefit we receive must be rendered again, line for line, deed for deed, cent for cent, to somebody." -R.W. Emerson

If you know of a deserving non-profit organization that would like to utilize one of Brian's beautiful landscape prints to raise funds through charitable auction or otherwise, feel free to drop us a note.

9/1/2011...... Work to begin on "The Yellow Brick Road". (actually the brown brick road from the front of the studio around to the back). A huge project that will slow us down......but not for long! A few new sculpture pads will be placed along side and landscape lighting will illuminate and enhance upcoming works!
We are very excited!.....Call for an appointment to come check it out!

8/29/2011..... We're back! (buried under a pile of steel and working our way out!) We have been hard at work on awesome new "Sentinel" designs with bronze elements. Not only are we excited with our creative progress but also for an innovative and lasting new finish for steel, that will better withstand harsh coastal climates.

6/10/2011..... Final touches on the new 27' Gantry. (crane-bridge for moving the larger portions of steel from fabrication tables to trailer) What an amazing time and back saving device!

5/26/11..... "Waves & Windows" the 100th piece of public art for the Town of Fountain Hills, is installed just outside of the Centennial Circle at Town Center!

5/15/11.....Thursday 5/26/11 @ 11am, Dedication of "Waves & Windows" to take place between the Fountain Hills Public Library and the Community Center. Come celebrate with us!

Many thanks to all who attended/contributed to FHCCA and thanks to Sheila and Wally Nichols for hosting the event. A very nice evening was had by all.

3/12/11.....Successful delivery and installation to the Wiford Gallery and Sculpture Garden in Sante Fe NM! (Moving thousands of pounds of steel and stone can be extremely dangerous. All went well, without incident or injury).....thanks Gerald for all your help! Sante Fe has a wonderful energy about it. I look forward to visiting often.

8/10/10.....Just returned from the largest sculpture show in the nation, Loveland Colorado's "Sculpture in the Park". Battered and weary, 8 months to prepare, two trucks and two trailers full of sculpture, flat tires, overheating, coordinating gas, meals and bathroom breaks for 7 of us on our 2,400+ mile trek!.......
It was quite an adventure and financially worthwhile! Brian was No.2 of the top ten selling artists for 2010 in his first year at Sculpture in the Park!......("thanks to my amazing and very supportive wife Madiha, Barry, Rich and Ramon....couldn't have survived it without you! I also want to give thanks to the LHPAC staff, you guys do an incredible job and take such good care of your artists! Lastly, thanks to my customers! without whom, I'd have only the birds perching upon and enjoying my work."....Brian)

Biography:

From the first display of his paintings to the public at age 19, Brian knew his path as an artist had been determined and from that day forward, he has dedicated his life to the creation of things that bring interest, intrigue and beauty to our surroundings.

Largely self taught, Brian's work has taken many forms through the years.  Brian chose his profession almost 30 years ago and has worked diligently to articulate his feelings and ideas through the mediums of sculpting, painting, printmaking, photography and poetry.

"I don't believe creativity should be restricted to any one medium. Daily, my mind is filled with ideas of how I might convey my thoughts and beliefs".

Brian is a member of the National Sculpture Society. His work has been featured in numerous newspaper articles, magazines both local and national. He has had One Man Showings through galleries in Scottsdale, Sedona, Las Vegas and Phoenix. Southwest Art Magazines Calendar featured Brian's work two years running as well as inclusion in the Phippen Western Art Museum's Calendar.

Brian's work has been collected by individuals and corporations for decades. He's currently spending all of his time sculpting what he likes to refer to as "lasting works of substance."

Brian's sculptural works are exclusively monumental in nature and suitable for indoor or outdoor display.

The inspiration behind many of Brian's sculptures is narrated by poem or prose hand written by the artist, then richly etched into the solid copper plaque accompanying the piece.

With a curiosity for Japanese Puzzle Boxes, Brian always tries to conceal connections or attachment points within his sculptures, and when it is necessary to reveal hardware or a weld he prefers them to be part of the art by making them bold or exaggerated.

"I'd like to create art that outlasts my great, great grandchildren. With that in mind, I've humbly come to understand the concept that nothing lasts forever"

"I strive to educate myself in matters of environmental impact on exposed sculptural elements, thus carefully selecting materials that are not only esthetically pleasing but that will provide as many years of enjoyment as possible for those viewing it."......I also believe in recycling as much as possible when it comes to my art, I much prefer to utilize sound, used material over new."

Sculptures are available for purchase exclusively through Howard Schepp Fine Art in Palm Desert CA, El Prado Gallery in Sedona AZ, and The Wiford Gallery & Sculpture Garden in Santa Fe NM. Brian's studio and almost an acre of sculpture garden in Fountain Hills Arizona are open for viewing, by appointment. Come see sculptures in progress or join the creative process by working with Brian to create something specific for your intended location.
